Education And Teachers' Participation In Training Programs

The time is moving fast and with that everything is changing in a rapid pace. Even in the schools also, the smart boards and projectors have replaced the black boards. In such a time, can generations of students be taught with the same syllabi? Is it enough for teachers to teach the students with what they had learnt in their educational career years ago? If anyone thinks in that manner then the person doesn?t seem to have a deep knowledge about the teaching profession. Even teachers have to go through many books every day before they come to School. The more teachers read books or attend different workshops or opt for the latest teaching method, the more they teach the students effectively.

There are many programs conducted for teachers. Most of the workshops provide Multimedia presentations using Microsoft Power Point, Physical examples of teaching aides, Handouts, etc.

Centre for career Development, also called CCD conduct workshops for teachers where activities are kept as an integral part of the teachers orientationprogramme.

Teachers are also given the platform to give their feedback. CCD helps teachers to improve their creativity skills, stress management, conflict management, and behavioral problems of the primary and middle school teachers. In the workshops conducted by CCD, teachers are given practical exercises through which they can figure out their strength and weaknesses and can improve it. The workshop also helps the teachers to understand the psychology of the students. Ratna Sagar is another company which conducts symposium for both teachers and students in which ideas about many types of teaching including general awareness are imparted to the audience.

These sorts of workshops introduce the teachers as well as the students with new concepts of teaching and learning. The company?s main aim is to enhance the quality of education in the schools. Seminars and workshops help the teachers to gather knowledge about new ideas of teaching that are being introduced every year.

The introduction of a smart class is a boon for the teachers and the students because their concepts get much clear with the visuals that are being shown in smart classes. It is the digital initiative of Educomp to make the classes more innovative with the help of technology. The positive point of smart class is that, teachers can keep their instructions saved in the computers and later can show it to the students through projectors and digital boards. Teachers and students can get smart class through the web. It can also be installed on the school?s local server for quicker and more reliable access to the content.

Attending workshops is fruitful for teachers in many ways like it provides them the opportunity to interact with experts from various fields. It also inspires many new ideas, thoughts and increase classroom resources. Many queries get cleared when teachers interact with the experts which normally doesn?t get clear when they only consult books. Especially, for the art teachers, workshops are extremely required as they can exchange their ideas with the experts and teach the students new method of learning art. It also expands networking of the people. We think teachers are next to god and know everything regarding their field. But they also need to polish their knowledge once a year to keep them updated with the latest in the field of education.

There are a lot of things that teachers need to learn but that?s not possible if they are kept confined to the four walls of classrooms. The workshops help them to interact with other teachers and experts and to improve their skills in that way.
