If the Chicago Bears? as most mock drafts suggest? have zeroed in on wide receiver as their number one priority heading into the 2012 NFL Draft, then they should have their pick of the litter after consensus top wide receiver Justin Blackmon of Oklahoma State goes off the board. The Bears may choose Notre Dame Fighting Irish WR Michael Floyd, or, as projected by SB Nation's Ryan Van Bibber in his most recent mock draft, they may select Baylor Bears receiver Kendall Wright.
Wright is considered by many to be the second best receiver prospect in this draft class, and the Bears could certainly use his size and speed to bolster their maligned receiving core. Here's Van Bibber's rationale:
19. Chicago Bears, Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor
Chicago could use help along the offensive line, on the inside and out. They can probably find a way to get by and save their first-round pick for a playmaker. What Wright lacks in size, he makes up for with versatility, good hands and blazing speed. He can be a deep threat or do damage with yards after the catch working out of the slot.
