EUGENE, Ore. (AP) ? Rosetta Adzasu scored 15 points on a perfect shooting night and teammate Jazmine Perkins had 15 points and 12 rebounds to lead Washington State to a 75-47 victory over Oregon in both teams' Pac-12 conference opener Thursday night.
Adzasu was 6-for-6 from the field and went 3-for-3 from three-point range in the first half, sparking Washington State (7-6, 1-0 Pac-12) to a 17-point halftime lead that was never in serious jeopardy.
Oregon (8-5, 0-1) tried to claw its way back into contention with an 11-0 run midway through the second half, keyed by a three-pointer and a long jumper from Deanna Weaver, but Washington State ended it when Perkins made a layup to end a four-minute scoreless stretch.
Oregon senior Jasmin Holliday stepped up in the absence of Amanda Johnson and Nia Jackson, who both missed the game due to injury. Holliday finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
