Sony's Alpha A37 and NEX-F3 pose for the camera, reveal more angles, details
Well, well, talk about déjà vu! It was just yesterday that a corner of Sony's 16.1 megapixel NEX-F3 leaked onto the interwebs and now more photos have surfaced, along with a previously unannounced shooter, the Alpha A37 SLT. The pictures come courtesy of Yang Canggih, which says it had chance to demo the two devices yesterday at Sony's Partner's Conference in Jakarta (Curiously, the NEX-F3 post isn't live as of this writing, but Sony Alpha Rumors has the images up.) Starting with the F3, the mirrorless camera has last some of the curves found on its older sibling, the C3, adopting the angular edges that once made the NEX-7 the badass standout in the lineup. You'll notice that the shutter button and grip have an uncanny resemblance to the 7's, not to mention that it's clearly gained a pop-up flash -- a first for the lower-end NEXs. Past that, the rumored -- and self-portrait friendly -- 180 degree tilt-screen is also present, which'll likely give the C3 an edge over its siblings when it comes to composing shots. Also worth note, some of the buttons on back have been slightly repositioned.
Moving along, those hoping for a successor to the A35 will apparently have their wish granted with the 16.1 megapixel A37, which is essentially an evolutionary update. According to Yang Canggih, it sports the articulating display from last generation of NEX cams, Auto Portrait Framing (first introduced with the A57), four more effect modes (up from 11) and an ergonomic grip in the vein of the A77. Sadly, that's about all that's currently known, so hopefully we'll get an official introduction to the cameras soon. Head past the break for a shot of the A37 and then check out the links below for even more of both.

Lady Gaga's Born This Way Ball Kicks Off Amid Protests
Seoul, South Korea, set list heavy on new material, but Gaga's biggest hits come out to play.
By John Mitchell
<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml">Lady Gaga</a> kicked off her hotly awaited <i>Born This Way</i> Ball at Seoul, South Korea's Olympic Stadium on Friday (April 27) in front of 45,000 fans, and despite <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-17867102" target="_blank">protests</a> from Christian groups saying Mother Monster was "obscene" and could "taint" young people with her performance, the concert appears to have gone on without incident. </P><P> </P><P>Intrepid Twitter fans are already showing off pictures and video of the <i>BTW</i> Ball's enormous Gothic castle backdrop and myriad costume changes, making it clear that Gaga has outdone even her own Monster Ball in terms of spectacle. </P><P> </P><P>While we wait for reviews to trickle in from halfway around the world, one thing is certain: No minors were corrupted at the show. Earlier this month, the Korea Media Rating Board decided to <a href="http://newsroom.mtv.com/2012/04/02/lady-gaga-unfazed-by-south-korean-concert-age-restrictions/">elevate the age rating</a> for the concert from 12 to 18, prohibiting minors from seeing the concert. When the board notified Gaga's tour promotion company and a sponsor of the change in age restrictions, it did not offer a reason why the show — which at the time was still in rehearsals and had not been reviewed publicly — was considered unsuitable for children under 18. </P><P> </P><P><CENTER><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:717952/cp~vid%3D717952%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A717952" width="430" height="242" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed></CENTER> </P><P> </P><P>The likely catalyst for the board's decision came more into focus as the concert neared and protests from a group of conservative Christians calling itself the Alliance for Sound Culture in Sexuality ramped up. The group <a href="http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-31749_162-57419977-10391698/lady-gagas-born-this-way-ball-met-by-protests-in-south-korea/" target="_blank">covered Seoul with posters</a> accusing Gaga of "spreading unhealthy sexual culture" through "lewd lyrics and performances." </P><P> </P><P>The superstar and her fans, however, were undeterred. Though she <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/ladygaga/status/186886867118080000" target="_blank">tweeted</a> her hopes that the Korea Media Rating Board would reverse its decision (it didn't), she continued on as planned. Many fans reportedly arrived at the show wearing versions of Gaga's most well-known flamboyant costumes, and there have been no reports of disturbances at the concert. </P><P> </P><P>Before the show, Gaga <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/ladygaga/status/195815732494348288" target="_blank">tweeted</a>, "I can you hear you Korea. I'm shaking." </P><P> </P><P>Gaga's performance was heavy on material from her <i>Born this Way</i> album, though her biggest hits, including "Bad Romance," Poker Face" and "Just Dance," were represented. </P><P> </P><P>Lady Gaga's <i>Born This Way</i> Ball set list: </P><P> </P><P><b>»</b> "Highway Unicorn" <br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Government Hooker"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Born This Way"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Bloody Mary"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Bad Romance"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Fashion of His Love"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "The Queen"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Just Dance"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Love Game"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Telephone"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Just Dance"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Heavy Metal Lover"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Bad Kids"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Hair"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Yoü and I"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Electric Chapel"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Americano"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Poker Face"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Scheiße"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "The Edge of Glory"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Marry the Night" </P><P> </P><P><i>Did you see Lady Gaga's </i>Born This Way<i> Ball? Celebs to Jessica Simpson: Where is the Baby?!
Jessica Simpson has been pregnant for so long, and is so enormous, fellow stars are on pins and needles wondering where that giant baby girl is.
Maybe it's the non-stop Jessica Simpson quotes concerning her pregnancy that have slowed. Maybe it's the rumor that she already gave birth (false).
Whatever the reason, some inquiring minds really want to know on Twitter.
"Has Jessica Simpson had that baby yet?! I'm anxious," Katy Perry wrote.
Chelsea Handler was thinking the same thing. "How has jessica simpson still not given birth to this baby? I'm getting frightened," she wrote.
So are we. Simpson, who is still pregnant, announced her pregnancy on Halloween, six full months ago, well after tabloids got wind of it.
It's got to be due any minute now. Whenever little Maxi arrives, you can expect the fiancee of Eric Johnson to Tweet non-stop updates.
Seriously. This is a 31-year-old woman who has mused about her "swamp ass" and "the big O" of pregnant sex. There's no such thing as TMI.

King Street Cats: Consider Fostering Homeless or Acclimating ...
Kitten season is upon us, and that means?
the need for foster homes escalates rapidly. ?
King Street Cats had a local shelter contact us re. fostering?
5 (FIVE) different sets?of mamas and their babies this past week! ?
I came across a great article the other day?
that I thought I would share with you.
After reading this article, if you are interested in fostering,?
or have more questions,
please don't hesitate to drop us a note at Contact@KingStreetCats.org.
If you have fostered, share your experience(s)?
in the comments section below!
Why consider fostering, at a glance:
- Most shelters and rescues across the country have a need for pet foster families willing to temporarily house and care for homeless animals.
- Foster homes are needed for many different reasons, including overcrowded shelters, for pets with special needs (including medical), for kittens and puppies too young for adoption, for pets with a very low tolerance for shelter life, and for animals with little or no experience living in a home or with people.
- Pets do better in foster homes than shelters. They are less stressed and less likely to develop fear-based behavior problems. Their foster family can more easily evaluate their true temperament. They often receive help to improve physical, emotional or behavioral issues. They can be socialized to a wide range of home situations involving children and other pets. Animals who?ve been abused can learn to trust people again.
- What you can expect if you foster a pet will depend to a great extent on the type of pet you help and the circumstances the animal has lived in up to the point he enters your home. Some animals require a minimum of time and energy, while others will need a lot of time and attention to help them improve their chances for adoption.
- The easiest, fastest way to get connected to a pet fostering program is to contact your local animal shelter or breed rescue group.
If you're interested in making a real hands-on difference in the lives of homeless pets,?there are many ways to help, depending on your time, resources and talents.
Many people volunteer at their local animal shelter for a certain number of hours each week or month. Other people have pets in need come to them, instead, by serving as foster families for animals awaiting adoption. The need for pet foster parents varies by location. Pets are fostered for lots of different reasons, including: ??????? An overflowing shelter ??????? An animal with special needs ? she might be pregnant or nursing, or recovering from an injury, illness, or surgery ??????? A kitten or puppy still too young to be adopted ??????? A pet showing significant stress-related behavior (pacing or hiding, for instance) ??????? An animal who has never lived in a home or had much contact with people who needs to be socialized to a home environment Breed rescue organizations also often have extensive networks of foster families willing to temporarily house a dog or cat awaiting a new forever home. Fostering sets off a positive domino effect. The more people willing to open their homes to foster pets, the more pets local shelters can accommodate -- and for longer periods. This gives each animal the best shot at finding a new home. Fostering is Better for Pets Living in a home with a family better prepares pets for adoption than institutional living. It's also much less stressful for the animal. Fostered pets are much less likely to develop fear or anxiety-related behavior problems than animals who spend time in a shelter environment. Foster families are better able to assess a pet's true temperament because they can observe the animal extensively in a home environment. Brief visits with an anxious or fearful shelter resident are often not adequate to learn the pet's true nature. Also, many foster parents spend time working with their furry charges to help overcome physical or emotional challenges or training deficits ? for example, house soiling. Fostering in a home in which there are children and other pets provides an animal the chance to be socialized to a wider range of family configurations. This opens up his possibilities for adoption to a greater number of families. Or ? if the foster pet can't be adequately socialized to small children, for example, the shelter or rescue will know this particular animal must be adopted to a family with no young kids. If an animal has been rescued from an?abusive situation, her foster family can build a bridge from her past (where humans were scary), to a hopeful future full of people who are caring and loving. What to Expect If You Decide to Foster This will depend a great deal on what type of pet you agree to foster, and the circumstances of the animal's life up to that point. General pet rules apply, of course. Dogs require more time and energy than cats. Puppies need more attention than almost any other type of pet. If your foster cat is recuperating from an illness or injury, she might need nursing care or extra TLC. If the dog you took in has no manners, he'll need your help to learn basic obedience commands like Sit, Stay and Down. A healthy kitten will need appropriate nutrition, a litter box, a few toys, lots of gentle handling, and your watchful eye to keep him from getting into anything around your home that might harm him. By contrast, a large breed adult dog who has lived up till now banished to a backyard and ignored, will need all the basics including daily walks and exercise. Plus she'll need to be house trained, leash trained, obedience trained,?socialized?? and there may also be?behavior problems?to address. Obviously, many more people can conveniently take in a healthy kitten or cat than a large, untrained adult dog. Both situations will be rewarding for the foster families who help these animals. But if you have the time and resources necessary to turn a rather unmanageable, large breed shelter dog into a balanced, mostly well-behaved pet, not only will you feel tremendous gratification ? you will also very likely save the life of that dog by dramatically improving the likelihood she'll be adopted. So both the effort and reward of fostering depends on the type of pet you agree to help. Perhaps you're not sure what type of pet you want to foster. Keep in mind the animals who languish the longest in shelters are?older pets, those with medical problems, dogs suffering from breed prejudice, shy pets, those who need to be the only animal in the home, large dogs, black dogs, and pets with special needs. In terms of who would benefit most from your help, an animal in any of those groups would certainly qualify.??aaron hernandez portland news portland news tibetan mastiff manny pacquiao pacquiao blanche
James Cameron-backed Planetary Resources to search the universe for Unobtainum
Planetary Resources will reportedly announce later today that it's developing and selling low-cost spacecraft to mine asteroids close to the Earth. The space exploration and natural resources venture is led by X-Prize creator Peter Diamandis and NASA's former Mars chief, Eric Anderson -- with cash backing from James Cameron, Eric Schmidt and Larry Page amongst others. Within a decade, the company hopes to kickstart a 21st century gold rush by selling orbiting observation platforms to prospectors with significant rewards -- a 30-meter long asteroid could hold as much as $50 billion worth of platinum at today's prices. The company's own teaser materials promised that the project would add "trillions of dollars" to the world's GDP, which sounds like a film we saw recently.
